SENOVI wins Dutch Defence Innovation Competition with DAP3D

SENOVI has emerged as the victor in the prestigious Dutch Defence Innovation Competition with their groundbreaking solution, DAP3D, the Digital Assets Platform for 3D Printing. This achievement marks a significant milestone in the company’s journey towards revolutionizing the Additive Manufacturing industry.

The competition sought out innovative solutions that could bolster the nation’s defense capabilities, and SENOVI’s DAP3D delivered on that front. The judges were particularly impressed by the platform’s ability to secure the Intellectual Property of Additive Manufacturing files and to rapidly produce complex Parts on-Demand, significantly reducing lead times and costs compared to traditional manufacturing processes.

Following this success, SENOVI has entered into strategic collaborations with leading international partners. Together with RAPLAS (UK), a high-end manufacturer of large-scale stereolithography and laser sintering systems, and the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC, University of Sheffield), the platform is being further developed and tested in real-world industrial environments. These collaborations ensure that DAP3D is aligned with the highest standards of security, compliance, and performance in the defense and aerospace industries.

In the Netherlands, the project is supported through EFRO Oost (European Regional Development Fund East Netherlands). This program stimulates innovation and cross-border cooperation, enabling SENOVI and its partners to accelerate the development and deployment of secure additive manufacturing technologies within Europe.

With DAP3D, SENOVI is shaping the future of distributed, secure, and on-demand manufacturing — enabling trusted supply chains for critical defense and aerospace applications.
